Last week was truly a whirlwind. I attended the MENA Geospatial forum and the Esri User Conference in the UAE—two back-to-back events brimming with insights into cutting-edge GIS and AI technologies, digital twin advancements, and the ever-evolving best practices shaping the geospatial industry. At the same time, I wrapped up my last day at AECOM, officially registered my new company—Stoian Co—and launched its branding and marketing materials.
In the coming days, I’ll share a deeper dive into my conference notes, where I’ll highlight the many benefits of GIS in fields such as infrastructure planning, environmental monitoring, supply chain risk management, and beyond. From data standardization and AI-driven analytics to the integration of BIM with geospatial solutions, there’s a treasure trove of topics to explore. These events confirmed that staying on top of industry trends is not just valuable—it’s essential for any business hoping to remain relevant and innovative in today’s rapidly changing world.
As for what’s next? Stoian Co is my new venture where I’ll focus on delivering these forward-thinking GIS, digital twin, and AI solutions. Expect more updates on the services we’ll provide, the partnerships we’re forging, and the technology frontiers we plan to explore. I’m excited to see where this journey takes us and to share each step with you along the way.
